I Don’t Have to Post on Holidays, Right?

Look, it’s not that I don’t want to write something.  I love writing.  But I’m super busy, and we’re about to get in the car and drive for many hours to visit mt sister-in-law, and the kids are not dressed because they are watching “Bo on the Go” and dancing around with their bananas, and I just don’t have the time to write anything.  I’m only typing this because my wife is upstairs getting toiletries together and cannot see all of the time I am wasting.

But it’s the Fourth of July!  Do I have to post something today?  Haven’t I skipped holidays before?  Do people expect me to post today?  Do they demand it?!  Is anyone even online reading things today, or are they at family barbecues?  Or are they on their phones reading this because they are at family barbecues?  Hmmmmm.

Well, I once made a bold statement that I would not post anything to this blog on weekends, and so now I feel that I can make a similarly bold statement.  I will only post on federal holidays if I feel like it, and are not busy doing something else.  Boom.  Boldly vague statement that leaves me plenty of loopholes.  I’m going with it.

Plus, I have started filling those weekend gaps online by posting weird pictures on the Tenor Dad Facebook page.  So maybe I will post pictures instead of articles on holidays.  That sounds good.  I have plenty of time to make a picture.

Happy Fourth of July everyone!

  1. LMAO I’m going through the same thing this morning! And yet, here I am, reading your post. I was going to re-post my National Anthem video, and nothing more. You could do the same 😉
    Next year…
