Exclusive Chance to Hear New Music From “A Fleeting Animal”

I did not write a post this morning, because I was singing live on the radio. I know. It was very ’40s of me. I was there as part of the cast of Erik Nielson’s new opera production “A Fleeting Animal.” At noon today we gave listeners what will be their only chance to hear this music without buying a ticket and heading to the theater. Now, I am not suggesting that you do not buy a ticket and head to the theater, but I am aware that not all of you live in Vermont. That’s why this is so exciting!

If you missed the noon broadcast, it will be RE-broadcast again tonight at 7 pm, or so I have been told. You can tune in to VPR Classical (Vermont Public Radio) at these frequencies and hear me sing a couple of love duets, and some gorgeous ensemble scenes. I didn’t get to hear the earlier broadcast either, since I was singing it, so I’ll definitely be tuning in!

Oh, but you might not live in Vermont. I forgot. You might not get VPR Classical on your radio. If you don’t live in the beautiful Green Mountain State, there is still a way to listen in, because they stream it online! Simply go to this page here, and you can hear the VPR Classical broadcast online at 7 tonight! Perfect!

But then again, we live in the future. Here in the future, people do not like being told to consume media at specific times. Even so, you will be in luck! We have all signed a paper agreeing that they may put the archival recording of the broadcast up on their website for listening to whenever you feel like it! It’s not up yet, but when it is up, you will be able to find it here.

So this is it, opera lovers, new music lovers, normal music lovers, Tenor Dad lovers, and a variety of other lovers, your one chance to hear the cast sing some of this show! I wouldn’t miss it. And to buy actual tickets to the live performances, click here. See you on the radio!
