Win Tickets to Studio Ghibli’s “The Tale of the Princess Kaguya!”

In case you missed my previous posts about how excited I am, let me reiterate my enthusiasm for my latest harebrained scheme. I have become a movie captain in the hopes of bringing the new, Oscar-nominated, 100% Rotten Tomato-scored, Studio Ghibli movie “The Tale of the Princess Kaguya” to Burlington, VT. I have hung posters up around town. I have posted online in multiple places. I am on a mission. You see, in order for this to happen I need to get the tickets reserved in advance, to show that we have interest. You cannot buy tickets at the door. You can only reserve tickets by going to this link.

Maybe it was not clear that you need to reserve tickets ahead of time. Maybe people don’t know that they won’t be charged unless the screening happens. Maybe people hate awesome movies that are critically acclaimed. I don’t know. But we still have almost 40 tickets left to go before our reserve is met. So I need your help. I need you to help me spread the word about this awesome opportunity. I mean, these are the people that made Totoro! Ponyo! Spirited Away! Howl’s Moving Castle! Princess Mononoke! Kiki’s Delivery Service! And lots of other great movies!

As luck would have it, I have 2 free tickets to give away to this movie, which I hope will drum up some word-of-mouth for this one-time-only chance for Vermonters to see it in theaters. I know you all are excited! Everyone I talk to about this gets excited and reserves a seat. We just need to tell more people! So tweet it! Facebook it! And on the way, win tickets for yourself! Brilliant!

It’s that simple. Click. Tweet. Like. Share. Spread. I’ll be out hanging up more posters later, but as this is really an online system, it’s the web exposure that I think will really get this thing moving. So enter away, and help bring some independent film to Burlington!

The screening will be held on Saturday, February 21st at 10 am at Merrill’s Roxy Cinema.
Ticket reserve must be met by midnight on Thursday, February 12th for the screening to happen.
If ticket reserve is not met, the screening will not happen and no prizes will be awarded.
