Last Day in Florida

Today is my last day in Florida.  Tomorrow morning I am flying home to the frozen north where, my mother tells me, school was canceled yesterday due to cold.  It was 33 below zero.  Hooray.  So any odd or amusing videos I make from now on will not have palm trees or orange trees in them anymore.  They will have eskimos and icicles.

And how am I spending my last day here in the sunny south, you may ask?  Well, I get to sing an opera at 10 am.  For those of you who are not opera singers, let me just say, that you do not want to sing an opera at 10 am, but we are singing for high school students, and for some reason they were not willing to move high school to the evenings, but continue the antiquated practice of holding school during the daytime.  They should just move north, where it is too cold to even have school.

After I sing said opera (Rigoletto, by the way), I will then return to the theater to cover the show in the evening, meaning if the guy singing my role gets sick or something, I will have to sing it twice in one day.  For those of you who are not opera singers, let me just say that you do not want to sing an opera twice in one day.

I will then go home and pack and get ready to go home.  It’s been three and half weeks, and I can’t wait.  I’ve had a lot of fun here in Florida, and I apparently avoided a lot of snow, but I miss my family.  See you guys tomorrow!
