Please Don’t Give Me Up For Lent

Well, it’s that time of year again. The time when Christians the land over disappear from social media for 40 days and 40 nights in an attempt to reconnect with God by disconnecting from Facebook. And this is a fine and laudable thing. I do not want to disparage anyone who feels that a brief hiatus from Facebook will aid them on their spiritual journey. However it does concern me, since my primary audience comes to this site via social media.

I am not social media! Yes, I can be found there, but Tenor Dad Inc. (unincorporated) is not, in and of itself, social media. So give up Facebook. Give up Twitter. Give up Instapinchat. But do not, loyal readers, give up Tenor Dad. But wait, how will you find me and read all of my new posts if you are not on social media? You will probably not remember to check every day, and it would be super annoying if you checked one morning, but the new post had not gone live yet. Ugh! Luckily for you, there is a solution!

See over on the side there? Yeah, right underneath the “tags” area. You can subscribe to Tenor Dad and get an e-mail every time a new post is published! No more having to log into those social media sites for your daily dose of, ummm, whatever it is I do here. And if this plea has not convinced you, I wrote a country song about it. So subscribe, and I’ll see you on Facebook sometime in April!
